The Regulation 2024/858 of 14 March 2024 amended Annexes II (prohibited substances) and III (restricted ingredients) of European Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 to ban 12 nano-form ingredients and introduce new restrictions on Hydroxyapatite. A corrigendum to these restrictions was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 31 July 2024.
On page 5, in the Annex, point (2), footnote (*):
for: ‘(*) From 1 February 2025 cosmetic products containing that substance and not complying with the restrictions shall not be placed on the Union market. From 1 November 2025 cosmetic products containing that substance shall not be made available on the Union market.’,
